The Hanningfield M60UB is the world’s biggest underdriven conical mill. It is intended for large-scale particle sizing for both pharmaceuticals as well as non-pharma products. The mill features an IP6X powerful gearbox, rotating inside a screen placed at an optimum angle. This placement achieves comminution by compression and shearing of the particles between the impeller and surface of the screen. This is a spacer (gap setting) less model that requires no manual intervention to ensure zero metal-to-metal contact. Another advantage of this is a quick tooling changeover with a guarantee of the closest possible gap every time.

As a standard, all contact parts are made of 316L stainless steel along with FDA-compliant parts. Non-contact parts are made of 304 stainless steel. The finishes and construction materials can further be upgraded or downgraded as per the requirements.

The M60UB can be customized to be placed as per the requirement of your line. The mill’s discharge and feeder chute can be attached with valve assemblies, vacuum transfer systems, silicon cap mounting ring, or any bespoke design required for process integration. All equipment customizations can be supplied with full validation documentation (FS/DS, FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ)
