Chemical Manufacturing

Industrial Process Equipment for Fine Chemical, Specialty Chemical, Agrochemical and Industrial Manufacturing

Gansons manufactures industrial processing equipment for fine chemical, specialty chemical, agrochemical, fertiliser and industrial chemical manufacturers. Our chemical process equipment is engineered for demanding applications – handling corrosive, moisture-sensitive, exothermic, dusty and potentially combustible materials, with designs available in a range of materials of construction and hazardous area protection classifications.

Chemical Process Equipment. Granulators, Blenders and Dryers for Fine Chemical and Industrial Manufacturers

Where pharmaceutical equipment demands regulatory validation and food equipment demands hygienic design, chemical processing equipment demands material durability, process containment, and operational safety. Gansons engineers all three into every chemical-sector project – drawing on 75+ years of powder and liquid processing experience across multiple industries.

Granulation for Chemical and Agrochemical Manufacturers

Granulation is widely used in chemical manufacturing to convert fine powders into free-flowing, dust-reduced granules – for fertilisers, agrochemicals, detergents, catalysts, dyes, pigments, and specialty chemical compounds. Granulated products are safer to handle, more consistent in bulk density, and easier to dose and package than raw fine powders. Gansons high shear granulators and fluid bed granulation systems are used across the chemical and agrochemical sectors for both batch and semi-continuous granulation processes.

Mixing and Blending for Chemical Manufacturers

Uniform mixing of chemical powders, granules and pastes is fundamental to product consistency in chemical manufacturing. Gansons mixing equipment for the chemical sector includes the Nauta® conical screw mixer – widely used for gentle, low-shear blending of fine chemical powders and abrasive or fragile granules – and the High Shear Mixer Granulator for wet processing of chemical compounds. For contained blending of hazardous chemical powders, Gansons IBC bin blenders and diffusion blenders provide dust-free processing in closed systems.

Particle Sizing for Chemical and Industrial Applications

Consistent particle size distribution is critical to chemical product performance – affecting dissolution rate, bulk density, flowability, reactivity, and coating adhesion. Gansons particle sizing equipment includes high-throughput conical mills, multimills and vibratory sifters for chemical size reduction, de-agglomeration and classification. All equipment is available in containment configurations for dusty, irritant, or sensitising chemical powders.

Powder Transfer for Chemical Manufacturing

Safe, contained powder handling is a critical safety requirement in chemical manufacturing — protecting operators from exposure to irritant, corrosive, sensitising and potentially combustible chemical powders. Gansons vacuum transfer systems provide fully closed-loop powder movement between processing stages, eliminating open powder handling and dust generation. Equipment is available in explosion-proof configurations for ATEX Zone 1 and Zone 2 environments.

Ancillary equipments and Automation

Many chemical processing applications require custom-engineered solutions — non-standard materials of construction (Hastelloy, high-alloy stainless steel, polymer linings), explosion-proof drives and controls, or purpose-built process vessels designed for specific chemical reactions or hazardous materials. Gansons’ Special Projects team designs and builds bespoke chemical processing equipment to customer specification, working with your process safety and engineering teams through HAZOP and detailed design stages.
